The alley has always been called Rua da Bela Vista, meaning “street of the beautiful view”. Nestled amongst a dense row of houses on the bay’s old village slope, this narrow house appears to stand out like a little tower. But, as with a historic sailing ship, the eye can see much further from a more prominent lookout. The sailors once called it the crow’s nest. Your wow-factor will certainly soar as you ascend through Casa Ninho, culminating in the sheltered viewing platform at the top.

The original layout of the former fisherman’s cottage has been retained and the living areas are arranged one above the other. The ground floor is home to a large, comfortable bed and the bathroom. The heart of the building is found on the first floor, which offers a living/kitchen area with breakfast bar, two cosy armchairs in front of the terrace door, and a sheltered outdoor space.
Casa Ninho offers a central view of Praia da Salema. The original, narrow cobbled path still leads to the house when arriving on foot – such concession to the originality of the old village has to be taken into account. That said, you may still park your car centrally for free.
