Doing it out of love:
Preserving the authentic Algarve for the long-term.

As a family business, we are committed to protecting the environment.

Our story begins with a small fisherman’s house in Salema. For the last 30 years or so, the family, now in its second and third generation, has been renovating and building individual properties in the Algarve. Ever since she was a child, Annabell Pohl has always felt at home in the region. Now a mother herself, it’s become increasingly important for her to preserve the area for future generations. As an entrepreneur, she is all the more committed to the issue of sustainability – the ecological, social, and economic consequences of everything she does at SevenCollection.

“For me, the Algarve is one of the most beautiful places on earth. The maritime nature and pleasant climate. The Portuguese way of life and the rich cuisine. All of this deserves to be protected and preserved for as long as possible.”

Build. Think ahead. And help each other.

Declining numbers of fishermen, an increasing rural exodus, and natural generational change are the reasons why many old houses in southern Portugal are being abandoned. SevenCollection tries to preserve as much of them as possible, from the building material to the old olive tree, and create a future for the property. We do so by using natural building materials from the region, employing local craftsmen and service staff, and observing building regulations and energy standards in accordance with EU norms. We also provide jobs, support soft tourism, keep traditions alive from ceramics to cuisine, and therefore help to preserve respect and appreciation for the Algarve.

“The world is a fine place and worth fighting for.”
